A Good Turn Out for the Car Boot Sale and Fun Day

Car Boot Sale and Fun Day

On Sunday 2nd June we held our annual car boot sale at Kirton Recreation Ground and this year, to celebrate our 40th birthday, we decided to make it even bigger and more fun.

It was an early start for all the helpers, setting up the field for the sellers, organising the parking area for buyers and starting up the BBQ for the bacon, sausage or egg rolls.

The tasty bacon rolls were definitely very popular and we had to send out for more bacon supplies part way through the morning as we ran out.

Fortunately the weather was much better than it has been recently which seemed to draw more people out and the ice cream van was doing a roaring trade too.

In addition to the car boot stalls there was fun for the children with a bouncy castle, coconut shy, panning for gold and henna tattoos to keep them amused. We were also selling raffle tickets for our grand draw which takes place in October.

We hope everyone had a good day and a big thank you to all the visitors and especially everyone who helped. See you again next year.
